I remember when God called me to the foreign mission field…
Do you remember a special day when God called you to do something?
One of the great keys to fulfilling your purpose in life is simply by responding “yes” when you hear the voice of the Lord asking you to do something.
While attending Bible college in 1985 the school offered a boot camp trip to Mexico. I decided to make my first trip to a foreign country and arrived in Jalisco, Mexico.
As we were traveling through a small town I noticed people doing everyday activities.. working, shopping, laughing, and even playing.
My curiosity arouse.
I wondered if these people had ever heard the Good News of Salvation, and Eternal life Christ offers.
Missionary Roger West told me there was no Christian Church in this place.
That’s when I looked around and realized if no one tells these people about Christ they could all be destined to spend eternity without God.
I felt highly impressed and called by God to be the person to “go” to this mission field because I desperately wanted to see souls saved and disciples made for Christ in Mexico and all over the world.
What is God calling you to do?
It could be something as small as a one day’s decision to add value to another person’s life.
Whatever it is, I encourage you to respond with an obedient “Yes!”
When you do you, you’ll make a great step towards realizing your full potential and living a life of significance!
In January of 1989 I began full-time ministry as a missionary.
I knew very little Spanish.
Equipped with a small pocket translator I moved in with a Spanish-speaking family in Guadalajara, Jalisco where I was immediately immersed in the language and culture of this foreign Country.
Later I ministered in Jocotepec, Jalisco and also San Luis Potosi, SLP where my wife, Ana is from. We met in 1990 and were married on Nov 7, 1992.
I first worked as an Evangelist but was disheartened to learn that after seeing someone come to the Lord there was no follow-up from the local churches to disciple them.
I then concentrated on raising up Churches.
After working with three church plants I realized I could only Pastor one or two churches at a time.
A little while later we moved to Chiapas Mexico where the harvest was ripe for seeing new souls saved and disciples made. We began Training Leaders and planting Churches in Chiapas….
You may never physically go to another Country to follow Christ. That’s what he called us to do. He may just be calling you to send us, and if He is…
Thank you for partnering with us as we help people enter in the Kingdom of God!
