Don’t Waste Your Life. Complete Your Mission.
I’m reminded of the time we saw 2 men sprawled out in the back of a garbage truck. My daughter was worried as evidenced in her comment,
“Dad, why would somebody throw away 2 perfectly good men?”
I know… silly humour, but I want to encourage you,
Don’t Waste Your life.

We just sent out an email on the importance of taking advantage of every day to complete our mission for Christ.
During our Saturday night disciple making group we celebrated the Britnell’s son’s (Micah) 5th birthday. As we celebrated another year of this young boy’s life I thought our lesson was so appropriate.
“I don’t care about my own life.
The most important thing is that I
complete my mission, the work that
the Lord Jesus gave me—
to tell people the Good News about God’s grace.”
Acts 20:24.
Micah is only 5 years old and God has a mission for him and his life.
It doesn’t matter how old you are. It’s never too late to complete your mission for Christ.
We all have the same amount of time today and everyday is an opportunity to take advantage of sharing God’s grace.
I pray that God grants you the wisdom and strength to complete the work he entrusts to you.

Here’s some more thoughts on not wasting our life, living our life to the fullest, and completing God’s mission….
We Only Get One Life.
Because we only get one life to live we should make it count. We’ll never get today back so don’t waste it.
If you make a mistake, learn from it…then move on.
Stop worrying.
Worry is a waste of today’s time and doesn’t’ accomplish anything positive.
Worry doesn’t prevent or solve our problems.
Henry Ford said,
“I believe God is managing affairs and that he doesn’t
need any advice from me. With God in charge, I believe
everything will work out the best in the end. So what
is there to worry about?”
I read that a day of worrying is more exhausting than a week of work.
Corrie Ten Boom said,
“Worry doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”
Trust God and don’t waste today.
Tell Him,
“Your will be done Lord, not mine”
…. and mean it.
Matthew 6:33-34 says,
Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants.
Then all your other needs will be met as well.
So don’t worry about tomorrow, because
tomorrow will have its own worries.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Complete God’s Mission For Your Life
People wonder why I’m so driven to go to foreign Countries and preach the Gospel.
Read Acts 20:24 again (new century version),
“I don’t care about my own life.
The most important thing is that I
complete my mission, the work that
the Lord Jesus gave me—
to tell people the Good News about God’s grace.”
Besides the incredible sense of purpose I get by doing God’s will, I’m also conscious of time.
Many people have never heard the good news of Christ.
Every second 1 non-christian enters into a Christless eternity. Time is of the essence!
Because we only have “this moment” and because we only get one life to live let’s make today count, and tomorrow and the next day…
I encourage you,
“Seize the day! Make it count!”
Love God and help someone by serving them.
Run the race to the end and finish the course well!
