Are you interested in seeing lives changed while avoiding the front lines of preaching the gospel to the World?
Watch this video or read on for a simple solution to a life and death problem…
During World War II, or so the story goes, G.I. insurance was introduced. In simple terms it meant that for a minimal premium of six or seven dollars a month, ten thousand dollars in life insurance was provided.
If a serviceman was killed, his beneficiaries received the ten thousand dollars. It was a super deal, but like everything else, it had to be sold.
A young lieutenant called his infantry company to attention, explained the policy in great detail, and passed out papers for those who were interested in signing up for the insurance.
Virtually no one bought.
An old sergeant asked the young lieutenant for permission to explain the program. The lieutenant reluctantly agreed and felt confident that if he could not sell the insurance, the sergeant couldn’t.
The sergeant stood up and in simple eloquence explained it this way:
“Men, as I understand it, here’s the program. You’re going to be sent overseas. If you buy the insurance and get killed, the government is going to send your family ten thousand big, beautiful dollars. If you don’t get the insurance and you get killed, the government is not going to send your family anything.
My question is this: Who do you think the government is going to send to the front lines first?
The ones who would cost ten thousand dollars if they’re killed, or the ones who would cost nothing if they’re killed?”
The men bought the insurance.
This story was taken from a Zig Ziglar book.
Here’s a couple of lessons we learn from this story….
Get the life Insurance today before It’s too late
In reality Zig Ziglar says that he doubts the above story is true.
However Mr Ziglar’s story illustrates a point perfectly:
Life insurance is useless if you wait until you’re dead to purchase it.
You and I are in the business of providing spiritual life insurance.
Jesus said it this way:
It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. —Revelation 21:6
The good news is Jesus Christ paid the premium for the benefit of eternal life when He died on the cross for your sins and rose again.
If the premium has already been paid, why doesn’t everyone take advantage of this eternal life insurance?
The problem is many people don’t even know about the eternal life plan Christ offers. The problem is amplified by the fact that once someone passes into eternity it’s too late to accept Christ’s plan of salvation.
Time is of the essence. That’s why we’re so passionate about obeying Christ’s command in Mark 16:1 to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.”
Smart soldiers know how to avoid the “front lines”.
The other lesson we learn from this story is that you can avoid the front lines all together if you’re smart.
Some will go, others will send, but all must obey Christ’s great commission.
This week I’ll be in Costa Rica serving missionaries and spiritual leaders. In the coming months we’ll minister to missionaries who live in Countries where people have never even heard of Christ.
These soldiers are on the front lines of a spiritual war to snatch as many lost people from the fires of hell before it’s too late.
I want to thank those of you who have already partnered with us financially for several dollars a month.
You know that you are not only avoiding front line service, but your eternal rewards in heaven will far outweigh a temporary ten thousand dollar life insurance plan.
Finally I want to leave you with this Zig Ziglar quote that I absolutely love…
“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
Another way of stating this is, “You can be successful if you add value to other people’s life”.
I desire to help other people (that includes you) get what they want. As we form an army of God together, not only will people who don’t yet know Christ get what they want, you’ll be better off as we make a difference together.
Again, I want to thank you for being such a smart Christ follower who makes good eternal investments. I am so honored that we can provide life insurance for the lost together.

P.S. This life insurance plan never expires. It pays dividends to you and those you help for all eternity.
